About

I am a visual communicator in a variety of media, from fine art to digital which offers my private and commercial clients true variety and options. As a painter, I communicate emotions with color and movement, in an experimental style that is a perfect balance with my graphic design work.

My love of color has no boundaries and when combined with emotion, movement and a strategic approach, I will capture a your vision in a way that resonates with your target audience.

In addition to art and design, I've become certified as a Meditation Teacher and have begun to offer classes to individuals and businesses/organization. You can learn more about it on the Meditation & Art link from my home page.

I currently reside in Upstate New York, where I experiment with painting, jewelry design, gardening, photography, cooking, and my Cairn Terrier Gino his sidekick, Scout the Tuxedo cat

CLIENT ENDORSEMENTS

Mary is a highly skilled, intensely creative, dedicated master of her craft.  More than that, Mary brings a wealth of strategic communications value to any project she takes on, helping to frame the direction and scope of the design and development process right from the start.  The early stages of any creative project are key to its ultimate success — and Mary delivers value right up front, where it matters most.  Mary’s years of experience and acquired expertise has always given me the confidence that my initial ideas will be transformed into much more than I could have originally envisioned.  Her ability to connect deeply with her clients’ needs gives me a level of confidence and engagement that greatly exceeds any designer I have worked with over my 35 years in the business.

I first met Mary Clare when we worked together for five years at National Yellow Pages in Albany NY during the early 80’s. I was Sales Manager and she was the Art Director, which necessitated working closely on a daily basis. I found Mary to be a true professional. She is creative, competent, always produces results better than anticipated in a timely fashion. Perhaps her greatest asset is her capacity for communication and collaboration. Mary grasps what the client wants the first time, and delivers it. Over the years I have come to rely on Mary to deliver excellent results whether it be for a brochure, ad, promotion or just great design advice. I recommend her without hesitation.

Mary assisted me with student centered projects in the areas of service learning and health/wellness projects. Her skills were instrumental in helping students broaden their knowledge of community based health services through the visual arts. While many talk about transposing civic engagement into their discipline areas, Mary is a person who does the complete follow through, from the beginning to the end of a project. If you are looking for a creative person, who can be involved, be supportive, be professional and keep the fire buring, Mary is the person for you!

Mary is an incredible craftsperson who took the ball and ran with it when I asked her if she could make me something out of malachite. Before I could blink she selected a beautiful stone, wrapped it with silver wire and sent me digital photos for my approval. I highly recommend her excellent taste, creativity and beautiful design sense, as well as her motivation to create something that really shows her love for her work.
